Cacti and succulents thrive in dry conditions, and excess moisture is their greatest enemy. Cactuspon helps recreate the ideal environment, similar to their natural habitat. This purely mineral substrate, made from fine pumice, lava and zeolite, allows excess water to drain away quickly while promoting excellent root aeration. Since it is not pre-fertilised, you retain full control over the nutrient supply for your plants.

Application:

• Prepare the drainage: First, add the substrate as a drainage layer to the separating soil so that the water transport works perfectly.
• Create a base: Fill with a thin layer of a chosen substrate until the ideal planting height is reached.
• Planting: Simply place the plant in the container - you don't have to completely remove the old soil from the roots.
• Filling: Fill the container with substrate (the easiest way to do this is with the practical PON tray).
• Growing phase (first 12 weeks): During this time, water the plant as usual from above directly onto the substrate.
• Control the water supply: Make sure you only water moderately at first so that the water reservoir remains empty for the time being.
