Concentration is a tricky task. Sometimes we are the very picture of concentration and sometimes we can't concentrate at all. This is also related to the design of your workplace. Find out how to use Feng Shui to get the most out of your workplace here.
Start with your desk. If it is in the wrong place, it is impossible to get work done. For example, if your desk is facing a wall, that's all you'll have to stare at the whole day. This limits creativity and thinking. The optimal place for your desk is diagonally farthest from the door area. This place is called a "power spot" because it provides maximum overview with optimal protection. This will help you feel more confident and exudes strength.
It is good if you do not sit with your back to a window or door. This creates anxiety, especially when you sit with your back to a door. If you sit like this you never know who's going to come in or what's going on behind you.
Order in the workplace creates order in the head. A tidier desk creates a clear working atmosphere, which in turn increases productivity. So make sure that everything has a fixed place, that enough space is available and that the workplace is cleaned every night. In the morning you'll come back refreshed.
Doors and passageways should always be free and not be obstructed by obstacles. Then the Chi can flow which ensures a pleasant and free atmosphere.
Lots of light brings lots of energy. Dark rooms affect the mind as well as concentration. The best light is natural light, but if need be you can use a daylight lamp.
In order to ensure sufficient oxygen, the room should be aired out regularly. This also helps reduce the electromagnetic pollution of the room. Constantly open windows are not the way to go though, because this leads to loss of Chi.
Avoid sharp edges and corners. This is also unfavorable to Chi. Use planters and plants to sharpen edges.
Office plants are an excellent idea for any space. They purify the air and dampen sound. Be careful though, because not all species are suitable. Spider plants or creeping plants are most recommended.
Colors also play a role. Subtle colors radiate serenity and are better than flashy ones.
