A cosy home for hedgehogs

Description

Hedgehogs perform numerous important tasks in gardens and make a valuable contribution to maintaining the natural balance. Unfortunately, in well-kept and "tidy" gardens, it can be difficult for them to find suitable shelter. As a result, they roam and often die in the process - which is a tragedy given that the hedgehog population is already endangered. With the DENK hedgehog house, help prevent this and give a hedgehog a cosy home in your garden.

This DENK hedgehog house can be inhabited all year round and is ideal for raising young and hibernating. Put it in a secluded, quiet and dry place in the garden, on which you have previously sprinkled sand and hay or straw. Cover it with soil, leaves, straw or bark mulch, making sure to leave the entrance uncovered. Usually, the hedgehog finds its way into the house after a while, but you can also attract it with special hedgehog food. Once the hedgehog has moved in, you don't have to do anything else. After hibernation, however, the old nesting material should be removed.
