R2-D2 is a fictional droid character in the Star Wars franchise. He's an astromech droid, a friend of C-3PO, Padmé Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, BB-8, Rey and D-O.

BB-8 is also a droid character in the Star Wars films. He also starred in the animated series Star Wars Resistance, which appeared in the first 17 episodes of the first season. BB8 is a BB Resistance astromech droid owned by Poe Dameron.
